Garry has nearly 30 years of local and international senior management experience spanning fourteen countries across Asia-Pacific. He has successfully started-up five businesses across a variety of industries, is an active angel investor with significant board-level experience, and has a passion for Internet businesses and mentoring start-up founders.
From 1989 to 2000, Garry held a number of technology management roles at Procter and Gamble. As Regional IT Director, he was responsible for sales and logistics systems across South East Asia and Australasia. Garry was an early investor in DesignCrowd, one of the largest online marketplaces for graphic design in the world, where he assisted the fledgling business through significant venture fund capital raising.
Garry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Computing from University of Technology, Sydney. He currently serves as Chairman of DesignCrowd; Chairman of Oneflare, Australia’s fastest growing local service marketplace; cofounder and Chairman of RecruitLoop, an award-winning global platform to automate and outsource parts of the recruitment process on-demand; and cofounder and Director of The Fresh Venture Group, a multi award-winning corporate services company. Garry is a mentor at Pushstart (Sydney) and the Founder Institute (Sydney).
Ari has extensive experience in starting, building and selling Internet-related businesses. Hewas the co-founder and CEO of iMega, an online media network with over 30 million visitors a month which he sold to a publicly-listed marketing services group in 2006.
In 2008 he co-founded and served as CEO of Online Marketing Group (OMG), which quickly grew to become Australia’s largest network of websites and owner of premium domain names. Ari managed the sale of the business to Fairfax Media. He now helps Right Click Capital find and build great Asia-Pacific-based Internet-related businesses.
Ari has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales. He is a longstanding member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, as well as the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCAL). Ari is a mentor at the Founder Institute (Sydney) and JFDI (Singapore).
Benjamin has a track record of investing in and building successful Internet-related businesses over the last fifteen years. These include Online Agility, an incubator and developer of online concepts, and Jetabroad, one of Australia’s leading online travel companies. Benjamin has served on the boards of a number of portfolio companies.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales with First Class Honours, Benjamin began his career consulting in the areas of ecommerce strategy, online marketing, and technology for major clients such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Volvo, Sony, and Toyota. Benjamin was named National Young Business Person of the Year by Young Achievement Australia and is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCAL), and Sydney Angels.
Benjamin serves as the co-director of the Founder Institute in Sydney.
Fadi Bishara has in-depth knowledge and experience related to building successful start-ups in Silicon Valley and elsewhere in the world. For over fifteen years, he has been successfully matching human capital and venture capital needs across the globe, guiding talented technology entrepreneurs in their path.
Prior to founding Blackbox, a globally focused accelerator based in the heart of Silicon Valley, Fadi was the founder and CEO of techVenture. Having firsthand experience of building teams for over 100 early stage start-ups, he’s a frequent speaker and an advisor/mentor with start-up accelerators such as SeedCamp, HackFwd, Start-up Bootcamp, Start-up Chile, Skolkovo Start-up Academy, and many other global initiatives.
Fadi is also a Venture Partner at Sinbad Ventures, a fund that invests in early stage technology start-ups from Arabia. He has also served two years as an Executive Committee Co-Chair of the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab and is currently an Advisory Board Member.
Jeffrey Paine is a Partner of Golden Gate Ventures, an incubator and seed fund based in Singapore. Jeff is also the co-founder of Battle Ventures, a technology studio/incubator based in Singapore with a portfolio across Asia. He started and manages the Founder Institute in Asia where he is currently overseeing its expansion in the region. Since 2010, the Founder Institute has graduated over 40 companies in Asia.
Jeff spent the first eight years of his career in early stage venture and private equity in the US, North and South Asia. He co-founded a China market entry advisory firm, which was then merged with a China mid-market private equity firm and subsequently co-founded Generation Origin, a venture advisory firm based in Palo Alto (advised by the legendary Pitch Johnson).
David Siemer is the Managing Director of Siemer & Associates, a boutique merchant bank that works with technology, software and digital media companies throughout their complete life cycles. In addition to investment banking, he concurrently founded Siemer Ventures to assist early growth technology companies to achieve their full potential. One of the most active investment firms in Southern California, Siemer Ventures claims more than 40 current portfolio companies and makes about 12 new investments per year.
David was previously with Montgomery & Co. where he served as a key member of the Digital Media Investment Banking Group. In this capacity, he led sales to major media companies such as News Corp, Google, Sony, Yahoo!, Hearst, Viacom, WPP and Disney, as well as managing equity private placements from multiple venture capital firms and hedge funds.
Adeo Ressi is Founding Member of TheFunded.com, an online community of 12,000 CEOs to research, rate, and review funding sources worldwide. Adeo also runs the Founder Institute, a mentoring program that helps entrepreneurs launch hundreds of world-class companies each year. The Institute is the eighth start-up that Adeo has founded or built, four of which were acquired and three of which are still operating. He also serves on the Board of the X PRIZE foundation, a non-profit chartered to inspire human achievements through competition.
